Gairloch Highland Lodge is a welcome alternative for visitors seeking a more relaxed style of accommodation in the Highlands of Scotland. Set against a spectacular mountain backdrop and looking out over the harbour to the Isle of Skye and beyond, Gairloch Highland Lodge makes the perfect base from which to explore and enjoy the dramatic landscape and varied attractions of Wester Ross.

 

At Gairloch Highland Lodge value for money has not been achieved at the expense of quality. Nowhere is this better illustrated than in the bedrooms.
All rooms, some with sea view, are fully en-suite with either bath tub and/or shower, remote controlled colour TV, direct-dial telephone, alarm, radio, hairdryer, shaver point, heated towel rail, trouser press, hospitality tray, electric blanket, baby listening and guest adjustable central heating. In addition to standard rooms, the Gairloch Highland Lodge has family rooms as well as a king-size four-poster and a queen-size bedroom. The hotel also has a ground floor bedroom fully equipped for occupation by guests with disabilities. For a nominal supplement guests are welcome to have their dogs accompany them in the bedroom (no charge applicable to guide-dogs).

Food plays a very important role at The Gairloch Highland Lodge, and guests return again and again to savour the renowned Scottish West Coast seafood and Highland game dishes

These mostly comprise of locally caught lobster, crab, langoustine, mussels, scallops, salmon and wild venison. Several recipes by the chefs appear in cookery books & are mentioned in national newspaper articles . Lunch and dinner is served in the Old Inn ( the nearby sister hotel) in its' award winning restaurant and bar.

The lounge and public bars have an extensive range of Highland malt whiskies and a large selection of real ales, which has merited entry into to Good Beer Guide

The Gairloch Highland Lodge is also pleased to provide excellent local ales from The Dundonnell Brewery, who produce 'An Teallach' and 'Beinn Dearg', and The Isle of Skye Brewery, who produce a wonderful diversity of ales such as Black Cullin, Red Cullin, Cullin Beast (which is not for the faint hearted) and have also helped create the hotels own personal ale called 'The Blind Piper Of Gairloch' which was mixed by the landlord and ale loving locals

The Gairloch Lodge also has a comfortable and welcoming Resident’s Lounge with open fire.

Dinner is served from: 6pm - 9pm

Full Breakfast is served from: 8am - 9:30am

Whale Watching trips depart daily from the harbour just opposite the hotel. The area surrounding Gairloch is prime walking country. Famous Inverewe Gardens is less than 30 minutes drive away.

 

Gairloch Highland Lodge is easily reached by road via the A835 and A832 from Inverness. Passing through some of the most magnificent glens, mountains and lochs of Scotland, including the beautiful and unspoilt Loch Maree, the road journey takes less than two hours from Inverness
